Question by Terrance G: What is a good explaination for taking out a loan before buying house?
Active duty military. Had a house in Mississippi, so we had to sell our house. Of course, the seller market is terrible, so we had to suffer a loss just to sell. Had to take out of loan just to meet closing cost. Now we’re in the process of buying a new house. What is a good explaination for taking out a loan, besides the obvious (banks don’t like you taking out loans to pay loans) Any help would be appreciated.

Just curious what my credit might be like. I have lived in a apt for the past 5 years, never been late. I have 1 credit card I use off and on. I have always made payments on time, but have never put a large amount on it. I know I have good credit, I guess I’m just asking does this mean I have no credit, and is this just like having bad credit?

I’m only 19 years old, a college student and I have a bad credit score.

I have a Student Credit Card with my credit union, but I always make at least the minimum payment on it every month.

I recently gave birth, and I feel like my bad credit is coming from the hospital bills, and it being reported to the credit company. The thing is, I’ve always had insurance, but for some reason the bills keep coming to me.

How and can I file a despute, and how can I rebuild my credit?

Secret to top credit ratings:
Use a credit card wisely.
Charge things you need like food or gas and pay in full each month.
Carrying balances can destroy your credit score.

You sent a red flag.
You are only making the minimum payment for your credit card.
Pay it in full to give your credit score a huge boost.
It is 100% myth that carrying balances is good for your credit.
Not sure how that rumor EVER got started.

Hospitals don’t send things to collection companies right away.
They will give you about 6 months to a year before they do this.
Take care of those bills with the insurance company.
Ask them why they are not paying them.
Pretty sure they are not on your credit report yet.
Hospitals are not that cruel – they will give you time to pay THEIR collection department before sending it to the credit bureaus collection agencies.

I’m debating this with my boyfriend.
He says that if he has bad credit, and I have good credit, and we get married, his bad credit will not affect me at all.
I say that when we’re married ,we share money, so any monetary problems HE has become monetary problems WE have.
Is he right, or am I?
OH, my boyfriend doesn’t have bad credit, we’re just giving a hypothetical situation! =P

Question by Chrissy B: How can I get a small business loan? I have good credit but little cash or assetts?
I am looking into buying a small business just outside of Denver, Colorado but I have no idea where to start as far as getting a loan. I have good credit but would only be able to come up with ,000 -,000 up front cash. As far as assetts, I have virtually nothing. Is a business loan even an option in this situation? I need a loan for about 0,000. The business I am looking into buying is well established and very lucrative would this factor into the loan situation?
